Most trading apps show you a chart of your equity curve and call it a day. Knowing whether you're up or down is the easy part. Knowing why, and whether the cause is something you can fix, is a lot harder to get out of a chart.
Callouts are CoTrader's answer to that. Twelve deterministic rules run against your own trade history, not a market feed, not generic advice, and surface the patterns that are real enough to matter.
Deterministic means no guessing
"Deterministic" is the important word here. Each rule checks a fixed condition against your data: a symbol with an unusually high win rate across enough trades to trust it, a weekday quietly dragging your average down, a cluster of entries opened within an hour of a loss. If the condition isn't met, the callout stays silent. There's no sentiment guessing and no vague "you might want to consider" here. The pattern either shows up in your numbers or it doesn't.
Generic trading advice is easy to ignore because it was never about you specifically. A callout that says "AAPL: 75% win rate across 4 trades" is a lot harder to wave off, because it's your own account making the point.
What the twelve rules cover
The rules span three areas:
- Symbols — which names you're genuinely good at trading, and which ones you keep returning to without an edge.
- Timing — days of the week, times of day, or streaks that correlate with worse outcomes.
- Behavior — patterns like revenge trading, oversized positions after a loss, or entries with no plan attached.
Real Callouts from a real CoTrader account — one from each of the three areas above.
Each one comes with a "why flagged" explanation and a concrete "what to try" suggestion. Think of it less as a lecture and more as the next experiment worth running on your own process.
Why this matters more than a P&L chart
A P&L chart tells you the score. Callouts tell you the game. Most traders who improve get there by removing two or three specific habits that were quietly costing them money, rarely by finding some new strategy. You can't remove what you never noticed, and most of it stays invisible until someone actually looks at the pattern across dozens of trades instead of judging one at a time.
Twelve rules run silently on your own history, surfacing the handful of things worth acting on. That's the whole point of CoTrader's Insights row.
